One of the actions to be undertaken by the McGowan Government arising from the recent parliamentary inquiry into short-stay accommodation is the updating of strata title guidance to include powers and processes open to strata companies to manage short-term rentals.

Hynes Legal Question: Who may move a motion to amend a motion? Can, for example, an owner present at the AGM, move a motion at the AGM to amend a motion put forward by the committee?
Bannermans Lawyers Pesky parking practices by owners and occupiers can be a nightmare for strata schemes. However, it presents a perfect opportunity for an owners corporation to obtain a monetary order of up to $1100 from NCAT for every breach of a parking by-law.
Question: I've received a letter from Body Corporate about breaching visitor parking. It contains a photo obviously taken by another resident. How is this a lawful way to enforce the bylaws?
