A bushfire checklist has been created for strata properties to be used in case of spot fires, ember attack or, in severe cases, where a fire front caused by nearby blazes is approaching.

Update on regulatory changes
from Bugden Allen Lawyers

Below is a quick update on the regulatory changes planned for NSW, VIC, WA and QLD:
- Short-term rental accommodation (STRA) changes in NSW - no change.
- WA's new strata regulations - update: the regulations are now going through the Parliamentary process. A date range of January to June 2020 has been provided as per the Strata WA website.
- QLD body corporate law changes - update: public consultation on the proposed changes closed on 1 December 2019. The timing for the release of the new laws and regulations is not known, but most likely in the first half of 2020.
- Strata reforms in Victoria - no change.
