The amendments to the Strata Titles Act 1985 (WA) will see a new form of land ownership, leasehold strata schemes. A leasehold scheme is a new type of strata scheme in which all lots in the scheme are subject to a fixed-term lease of between 20 and 99 years.

NSW: Community schemes law reform

The NSW Government is seeking public feedback on the drafting of the Community Land Management Bill 2019 and the Community Land Development Bill 2019. The Bills completely rewrite NSW community schemes laws. They are aligned with the major 2015 strata scheme reforms, make community land development legislation more flexible and incorporate feedback from the implementation of the strata laws.
